Grubhub: 2016 Canvas Ad

Grubhub's Canvas Ad was one of the earliest uses of Facebook’s new ad format.

Because of Grubhub’s status as the leading food delivery service in the country, its data contains unique insights. After mining through last year’s orders, we noticed some interesting growth patterns and began to craft a story.  

The team showcased the year's hottest foods through Facebook’s canvas ad, a platform that supports and encourages rich media. Users experienced a dynamic journey through custom photos, video, and GIFs.

Combined with proper targeting to the brand's priority audiences, we attracted more than 35,000 canvas opens, retained the average user for more than 60 seconds, and generated 1400+ delivery orders.
